Hey everyone! How is life? Good I hope!
So this week was a miracle week with a sad ending...
Monday:
Monday we got to go to the lake with Soeur Yaka-Yake and Soeur
Wadsworth. It was fun to picnic there and just enjoy the scenery. Then
we went and had a RDV with our ami Krisztina! It was just incredible!
I don't think I've talked about Krisztina before... So I'll give a
little introduction. Krisztina is from Hungary. She is the cutest
thing ever. She speaks French, Hungarian and English. She is engaged
to a member of our ward and met the church when he invited her to come
to general conference with him. She has met with 3 different sets of
missionaries and understands it all, she is so smart! She can teach
the lessons to her brother after we teach her, it's amazing. She asked
us on Sunday if we would teach her about self-reliance, so of course
we say yes! When we got there to teach her we had no clue what to
teach on. Self-Reliance is such a big topic that we had no clue what
to teach. We decided to say a prayer and ask Heavenly Father to guide
us and as soon as I said amen I knew exactly what we needed to teach
her on. It was amazing. It was like a light switch had been turned on,
her needs just hit me. It was super cool. So we went in and taught her
and we knew exactly what to say. It was so cool. We gave her a
personal progress book and encouraged her to begin it. I never really
realized how much personal progress helped me until now! I have
learned so many different life lessons from personal progress.. If you
haven't finished it, I encourage you to do so! Anyways... The lesson
was wonderful and the spirit was so strong.
Tuesday:
We went to the farm like always and it was fun. They're always so good
to us at the farm. I enjoy the opportunity to serve and learn and try
new things. It's the best (: Tuesday we also had a lot of lessons fall
through so we just contacted and did some area book. I love
contacting. It's a lot of fun getting to meet new people. When you
meet someone you can just tell how much the gospel would help them
with their life and how much they need it and you just have this
instant love for them. It's amazing.
Also, FINISHED THE BOOK OF MORMON! WOOT WOOT!
Wednesday:
Wednesday was our miracle Wednesday! We started the morning meeting
with Souer Frene and it was wonderful! She is such a sweet lady. We
read with her from 1 Nephi 13 and she was telling us "This is where
Christopher Colombus came in right?" "This is where it talks about
America gaining independence right?" And stuff like that. She is
amazing, she knows everything. I hope that sometime soon we find out
what happened to make her not want to come to church anymore because
we could use her sweet spirit back in our ward. After that, we went
and visited with our ami Fred at the church. He is progressing so
well. He has so many good questions, it's wonderful. He asked us how
we baptize people and what makes our church different and why the Book
of Mormon is important. We taught him the restoration and answered a
lot of his questions. It was so cool. He loves the baptismal font and
the chapel so much. He says that the spirit is strong there. SO COOL!
After we visited him we met with Jeremie. He is a frustrating ami for
us... He likes to just bash everything we say. When we asked him if it
would be important for him to know the truth he said no. It's
frustrating, he needs to read the Book of Mormon and then pray about
it. That is our goal for the future. Get him to read the Book of
Mormon.
Thursday:
Thursday we had district meeting. It was so much fun. We got to do
this thing called "bible prophecies" where we predicted where everyone
was going. It was so much fun!! Someone predicted that I would be
staying here in Yverdon to baptize all the drug dealers haha (Which
there really aren't drug dealers because everything is legal here in
Swiss). It was super fun. Then we went back and had dinner with the
Ward Missionaries here and they made MAC AND CHEESE for the American
(: It was so cool.
Friday:
Friday were transfer calls!! It was so funny. We expected president to
call us later in the day so Soeur Greciano jumped in the shower but
turns out that he called while she was in the shower and when I told
her she thought that I was joking. Then she heard me talking to
president and jumped out of the shower, so that was funny. Well,
moment of truth! I am staying in Yverdon! WOOT WOOT! But sad day,
Soeur Greciano is going to France... I am receiving a sister named
Soeur Anderson. It's so cool. I am so excited.
Saturday:
We got to meet with Soeur Frene again! She is so cute. We went and
told her Soeur Greciano was leaving and she was so sad. We had a final
parting words and it was awesome. She knows, and we know she knows. I
want her to come back so bad. We then went and visited other people
and got a new ami named Samuel! He is from Brazil and we are really
excited to teach him. He seems really interested.
Sunday:
We got to have Easter dinner with the Pires Family. They are so sweet.
Soeur Pires is my favorite. She asked me if I would teach her how to
do genealogy and of course I said yes! She has a less active daughter
we are working with too so hopefully us being there will help her.
Well. That was my week! Hope all of yours was well too!

HELLOOO FAMILY AND FRIENDS! Qu'est-ce
que sup?
My goodness I am so excited to get into this week! It was hand down just spectacular (like always) so I'll get into it!
Monday:
Monday we had Zone P-Day in Geneva. It was so fun to get to see everyone! We got to play football and BBQ and yep, it was great :) Ialso got to see elder wade again! Which was super awesome. It's always so much fun to be around friends from before the mission.
Tuesday:
Tuesday was the day! Christofferson Conference! My goodness it was amazing!! We got there and were told to quietly reflect on his talks and prepare for him and as soon as he got here we got to shake his hand and he talked to each one of us a little bit and boy was it so cool! I just happened to wear my personal progress medallion and he
was so proud of me. He also told me he was excited for me to be here and asked me where I was from. When I said PG UT his wife said that's where he was born! I was pretty excited haha just another reason to be proud of my home town 😎
Now to the spiritual :)
He asked that president speak first and president reviled how many engages we got! And I'm proud to say that we made our goal of 187! We actually got 223 engages!! When I heard that I was like "WHAT?! Are you kidding!? We did that?!" And then a voice came to my mind and said "Sister Robb, you didn't do that. This is my work. I did that. You were just my hands." It was a very humbling experience. Then Elder Christofferson spoke. Man is he funny! He has some pretty great jokes haha. He asked us "when is the perfect time to get baptized?" And we were all thinking some time and then he says "30 seconds before you die" hahah and then he went on to say that the earlier the better. Later in the meeting someone asked what the balance between their agency and our prayers and he said "well, you just pray for their agency to be taken away" hahaha he's great. Anyways, something he really emphasized was knowing and recognizing the Lords voice. He said that it's not always the same but knowing his voice and recognizing it is vital for us to be missionaries and also in the future. It was awesome and I think that it definitely something that can benefit all of us no matter where we are because we are all missionaries.
He then finished by blessing the mission. It was a very sacred experience that I will NEVER forget in my life. We were all on a spiritual high that day :) oh! Another thing I loved that happened was that elder Christofferson said that he loves that the work for "investigator with a baptismal date" is Called an engage because they're engaged to the gospel. They're into it with all they have and that's special. President then had the nerve to say that he is
encouraging us to think about being engaged 💍 and elder Christofferson looked at him and with just the straightest face said "engaged in the work" hahaha hopefully that ends the marriage talk for
at least a few weeks haha 😂😂

Wednesday:
Needless to say, after that spiritual high, Soeur Greciano and I
had a serious spiritual hangover haha. It was slightly hard to work because we
were exhausted but it was an awesome day. We got to go work at the farm! We got
to clean up cow poop and then feed the cows. We also got to help start building
a horse coral. That was fun, but I am definitely not cut out to be a farm girl!
I wouldn't survive haha. City life for days.
Thursday:
Thursday was a slower day but one that Soeur Greciano will never
forget! We were doing our usual power hour and we contacted this lady with the
cutest puppy and turns out the lady is from Spain! Soeur Greciano was so
excited! She's now an ami and is very receptive to the message :) I hope, for
Soeur Grecianos sake, she continues to progress :)
Friday: and Saturday:
Friday was super eventful. We had a RDV with an ami called
Jeremie and he was recently kicked out of the evangelist church... So we had a
lesson with him and it was so frustrating! His interpretation of the bible is
so skewed. It was really rough so we just bore testimony the whole time. He
wants to meet with us again and has been reading the Book of Mormon so that's
good! I just don't know where to even begin with teaching him... He's crazy..
Haha but we love him. He'll come around the eventually. I mean, there has to be
another reason why he came to the Mormon Church after getting kicked out of the
evangelist church!
After we taught jeremie, I got to go on a "Bleus
exchange" with Soeur Wadsworth (a friend from the MTC). We had an AMAZING
start! We had 12 conversations and a lesson! Turns out that everyone we spoke
to all spoke English! It was a complete blessing and the lord knew we needed
that. We got to continue our exchange on into Saturday as well. Saturday we mad
the goal to hand out 10 BOMs (8 French and 2 English). We were able to
successfully hand out 8 French book of Mormons! Woot woot! No one spoke English
on Saturday haha but our French (more like lack thereof haha) really helped us
to get conversations started! We got 18 conversations that day. It was super
cool. Needless to say, best exchange I've been on! Also, we found Zion so...
Haha
Sunday:
Well, Sunday was a slightly stressful day for me... I had to
speak in church!! Oh my lanta... Scariest thing I have done in my life! But
somehow, through my broken French, the spirit was there and he was able to
convey the message on the plan of salvation and the members understood for the
most part! #blessed
That night we were invited over to have dinner with my favorite
people in the ward, Bastian and Judith. Bastian is the bishop’s son and he and
his wife Judith have been married for about 1 year. They're super super cool!
Bastian works a lot in the US so speaks really good English and then Judith
grew up in Quebec and speaks English, Spanish and French. They're super cool!
They made us lasagna and I dunno.. They just have the coolest insights into the
gospel! I dunno why I shared that haha but there yah go!
Well, that was my week! It's crazy to think that I'm starting
the last week of my 1st transfer here in the France Lyon mission! I have been
SO incredibly blessed. I have the greatest companion, district leader, zone
leaders, district and zone. I've legit struck gold here! I am blessed beyond
belief to be here on the Lords errand. I am so grateful each day that he
allowed me to come serve his beloved children in the France Lyon mission. It's
such a blessing for me! I came out here to give back to the one who gives me
everything and I am seriously more blessed each day.
Guys, I know that this church is true. I know this with all my
heart. I know that Jesus Christ suffered and died for us that we might be
clean, live again, and never be alone. I know that he rose again on the 3rd day
and that he lives today. I would like to challenge you in preparation for this
coming Easter Sunday to 1) watch the video "Because of Him" and make
a list of what is possible Because of Him and 2) read the talk "None were
with Him" by Jeffery R. Holland.
I love you guys so much. And so does our Heavenly Father. I
testify of that.

Started from the bottom now I'm here...
Here is Keagan's email for this week. Something we learned this week is that when she refers to the investigators as "Amis" the translation for that is "A friend in Christ". We thought that was a really cool way to think about the investigators. Love getting these letters, she is doing so great! Well, lemme tell yah, this week was certainly one for the books!! But
first, lemme start from the beginning.
Monday:
Monday was a miracle Monday! We were going to Lausanne to buy some
clothes for Christofferson conference tomorrow (!I know right?!) and
we had just gotten out of the house and we're going to have to run out
of the house to catch the bus..and I of course forgot my bus pass! So
we run inside and come out content to just walk to the gare and take
the next train(train station). Well, when we got to the bus stop, what
pulls up? Yep! The bus! We made it to our train on time! Woot! We were
blessed with little things like that all day! Just barely making the
train and so on. That night we decide to do a power hour and as were
walking around we meet 7 people. Of those 7 people on 2 spoke French!
The others spoke Turkish, Albanian, Arabic, Spanish, and Kurt (SP?)..
Crazy! Haha we did a lot of charades and in the end they understood
what we were doing haha.
Tuesday:
Tuesday we didn't do much.. Just the usual ward council and visited
Soeur Frene. I love her. She is finally starting to get that burning
again! It's awesome. She gets excited for our visits and she gets
excited to read the scriptures. She's not interested in general
conference, but we have been leaving her talks and she has been
reading them not knowing they were from general conference and we
don't plan to tell her any time soon haha #sneeky
Wednesday:
Wednesday we had exchanges and I got to go on exchange with Soeur
Canino. She is from Italy and is super cool! She's 25 and on a
mission! So cool. She is really smart and loves the gospel. We got to
visit one of our Amis and we invited her to be baptized and she said
yes! And then said no.. Because she was already baptized.. So we
retaught the apostasy and restoration and she said that she didn't
know if she could be baptized by someone holding the priesthood and
that she needed to check with her psychiatrist to see if it's okay....
That was bizarre haha oh well, we'll keep trying!
Thursday:
Thursday we did some contacting, we did some visits, but no one was
interested and no one would answer... So we did some area book work
and then prepared for a big day Friday.
Friday:
Friday was the coolest day EVER! Friday we did what's called a
"Finding Day" where all the missionaries get together in just a couple
areas and find people. Well, that day was amazing! We started in
Neuchatel and it is BEAUTIFUL! We had a lot of fun and found a lot of
potentials for the sisters there. After, we went to Yverdon! We got to
find a lot of people and have a lot of fun together. It was great. And
2 of the elders got us an engage! Haha his name is Diazlo and we don't
know him... But he's set to be baptized on the 30th of April! We also
found a lot of people and have a big week this coming week :) I love
doing stuff like finding days because I can find new people and get to
know my district better. My district is like one happy family and I
love it!!
We also got a new ami! His name is Rafael. He's super cool and is
planning to set a baptismal date next week.
Saturday:
We had a hang over from finding day on Saturday.. But we still went
out and tried out best! We visited some people and called all the
potentials from finding day and just kept working! It was great we had
23 conversation in just 1 hour on the street! So cool.

Week 9: What do you call and Alligator wearing a vest? An Investigator. HAHA
Bonjour tout le monde! Comment ça va?
This week has for sure been a week of ups and downs. This has been one
of the hardest weeks of my mission, granted i haven't been in very
long haha, but we really do have a Heavenly Father watching out for us
and who really does love us. I'll include some of the miracles we saw
through the times of trial :)
Monday:
Monday way pretty great. We got to clean, which was much needed. We
also got to visit our referral, Madam Estermann. She is an old lady
from Germany and is just so darling. Our first visit was wonderful, we
were able to testify about the restoration and the Book of Mormon! I
even recited the first vision in French (hair flip). She thought it
was beautiful and was telling us how she noticed that the stories in
Alma (yeah, she read up to the end of Alma on her own) were very
similar to the things going on in our world today. We had to run out
the door to catch a bus so we could be home on time, but it was a
wonderful lesson.
Tuesday:
So right now I'm a "STL in Training" or in other words, my companion
is a trainer and a sister training leader and I get to be involved in
the whole process haha. She thinks it's because I'm going to be the
next STL in Yverdon but I have no idea. But anyways, as an STL you go
on exchanges with the sisters in the zone to make sure they're okay
and that they're just overall doing good. As an "STL in Training" I
get to participate in lots of exchanges haha. So we started our
exchanges on Tuesday! I was with a sister who is from Paris and speaks
very VERY little English. She is darling though and SO good at
contacting. Needless to say, I learned a lot :)
Wednesday:
Wednesday we had a cool miracle. It has been raining quite a bit, so
we decided to go contacting by porting. In my sector (area) we
dedicate 1 hour each day to this thing called "power hour" where we
contact everyone we can during that hour. It's proven to be super
effective in talking to people. We tried it and during that hour we
had 15 conversations through porting! It was definitely a miracle.
Most of the time we got 2-3 people to talk to us while porting, so 15
was a miracle for sure.
Thursday:
Thursday we had another exchange! I got to go to Lousanne with a
sister, also from Paris, called Sœur Yaka Yake. We had a blast. She
was sick so we didn't get to do as much stuff, but it was fun.
Friday:
Friday was also a miracle day. We got to see Madam Estermann again!
When we arrived to her house she dropped us... She told us that she
was an 88 year old woman and that she wasn't going to change. It was a
bummer! In the end she gave us a chocolate bar and tried to give us
each 20 Franks for the bus fair but we didn't take the money. We tried
to be sneaky and leave it as we depressingly walked into the rainy
night to wait for our bus. Well, turns out we weren't so sneaky and
she came out after us and tried to give us the money right as a bus
pulled up, so we told her we love her and jumped on the bus... Only to
find out that we had gotten on the bus and that the way we were going
was actually taking us 1 hour away from Yverdon... So we waited for
the last stop, talked with the bus driver and he offered to take us
back to the train station near us that way we could take a train and
go home. We of course accepted, and left him a bag of treats, a
contact card, and a letter saying thank you. When we got to the train
station we jumped off the bus and ran to the train. The only problem
was that to get to Yverdon we had to change trains so that meant
waiting for 20 mins in an unfamiliar area. When we got to that area we
went to wait for the train and when we did there were some gentleman
smoking something not good and listening to hard core rap. Basically,
we were in a place where the spirit couldn't be present. We also had
the possibility of being late. So we decided that the best thing to do
would be to go to another waiting area, pray, and then call the
district leader and tell him that we might be late. While we were
calling him those gentleman left and the spirit immediately returned.
All in all, we made it home, on time, and all was well, except for
being dropped of course haha.
Saturday:
Saturday was a slower day. We did weekly planning, we cleaned up a
little bit because someone was supposed to come and fix our leaking
fridge (they didn't come but the leaking stopped...) and we had to
clean the church (yes, the two of us.. It took us 2.5 hours). But! We
were blessed to have a RDV with our current engage Charlène. She is
AMAZING and really our only source of strength haha. We taught about
praying often and daily scripture study and keeping the sabbath day
holy. She said that she loved reading the scriptures daily because
they make her feel good. She also said that she is excited to start
doing family prayers with her husband so that they can start the
routine before they have children. She also thought that it was
important to keep the sabbath day holy so we can feel the spirit and
be rested for the next week. She also agreed to meet with us 3 times a
week so we can make sure she is prepared for her baptism on the 26th!
She is amazing and so excited to get baptized.
Sunday:
Sunday was also a day of miracles haha. It started out at church when
a man called Olivier came! We have taught him once as a FHE kind of
thing at the bishops and he had only come to church once before that
(which is where we met him). Well, as you know, Sunday was fast and
testimony meeting. Olivier went and bore his testimony on how the
church is true and the Book of Mormon is true and we have a living
prophet and Joseph smith restored the gospel and how he likes coming
to church. It was so cool! He said he doesn't want to meet with us,
but he is so ready! Fingers crossed that in the future he will be open
to meeting with us.
We also got to see Charlène on Sunday. We taught with a family from
Africa. They fed us and brought out this salsa that is from the Congo.
It is really spicy and has a ghost pepper in it. Apparently it's
tradition to have all the missionaries try it. So, being the good
missionary I am, I tried it and boy was it hot! My face turned red and
my tongue and lips burned for probably about an hour. Anyways, after
we were fed, we taught Charlène about Temples and committed her and
her husband to go to baptisms for the dead with the ward after she is
baptized and also we committed them to setting a date to be sealed in
the temple. They are going to be giving us that date on Friday :)
So another miracle that happened was that we had just had a lesson
cancelled because our ami is super sick. It was super frustrating for
us because we had decided to engage this ami to baptism and had this
great lesson planned and it was going to be amazing. Anyway, we
decided to take her the lesson plan so that she could read it while
she was sick and prepare for when we teach it. On our way to drop that
off, we got a call being invited over to a members house for dinner!
It was great. The members have recently been struggling with the ward
and being accepted (kind of like us) and we had planned to visit them
today actually haha. Anyways, we went and they fed us this really
awesome quinoa dish with some beef sauce on top. It was great! And
their family Is so sweet. They have 3 little girls who love me haha.
The youngest 2 even look like me from when I was a little girl. It's
so cute. It was a good meeting and we were able to help them address
some concerns and bring peace.
I know that even though sometimes things don't go as planned, even
when we try with everything we have, that the Lord always provides. He
will never leave us and he has given us a Savior, Jesus Christ, who
atoned for us, knows what we're going through, and because of Him, if
we turn to our Father in Heaven in prayer, having faith and a desire
to act, we will be blessed immensely!

I LOVE these scriptures! My favorite is how he asks if we have felt
the change that comes through the atonement of Jesus Christ, and If
so, can you feel it now? Brothers and Sisters, Can we feel so now? I
pray we can. And if we can't, let's work to be able to!
This week has for sure been a week of ups and downs. This has been one
of the hardest weeks of my mission, granted i haven't been in very
long haha, but we really do have a Heavenly Father watching out for us
and who really does love us. I'll include some of the miracles we saw
through the times of trial :)

Monday:
Monday way pretty great. We got to clean, which was much needed. We
also got to visit our referral, Madam Estermann. She is an old lady
from Germany and is just so darling. Our first visit was wonderful, we
were able to testify about the restoration and the Book of Mormon! I
even recited the first vision in French (hair flip). She thought it
was beautiful and was telling us how she noticed that the stories in
Alma (yeah, she read up to the end of Alma on her own) were very
similar to the things going on in our world today. We had to run out
the door to catch a bus so we could be home on time, but it was a
wonderful lesson.
Tuesday:
So right now I'm a "STL in Training" or in other words, my companion
is a trainer and a sister training leader and I get to be involved in
the whole process haha. She thinks it's because I'm going to be the
next STL in Yverdon but I have no idea. But anyways, as an STL you go
on exchanges with the sisters in the zone to make sure they're okay
and that they're just overall doing good. As an "STL in Training" I
get to participate in lots of exchanges haha. So we started our
exchanges on Tuesday! I was with a sister who is from Paris and speaks
very VERY little English. She is darling though and SO good at
contacting. Needless to say, I learned a lot :)
Wednesday:
Wednesday we had a cool miracle. It has been raining quite a bit, so
we decided to go contacting by porting. In my sector (area) we
dedicate 1 hour each day to this thing called "power hour" where we
contact everyone we can during that hour. It's proven to be super
effective in talking to people. We tried it and during that hour we
had 15 conversations through porting! It was definitely a miracle.
Most of the time we got 2-3 people to talk to us while porting, so 15
was a miracle for sure.

Thursday we had another exchange! I got to go to Lousanne with a
sister, also from Paris, called Sœur Yaka Yake. We had a blast. She
was sick so we didn't get to do as much stuff, but it was fun.
Friday:
Friday was also a miracle day. We got to see Madam Estermann again!
When we arrived to her house she dropped us... She told us that she
was an 88 year old woman and that she wasn't going to change. It was a
bummer! In the end she gave us a chocolate bar and tried to give us
each 20 Franks for the bus fair but we didn't take the money. We tried
to be sneaky and leave it as we depressingly walked into the rainy
night to wait for our bus. Well, turns out we weren't so sneaky and
she came out after us and tried to give us the money right as a bus
pulled up, so we told her we love her and jumped on the bus... Only to
find out that we had gotten on the bus and that the way we were going
was actually taking us 1 hour away from Yverdon... So we waited for
the last stop, talked with the bus driver and he offered to take us
back to the train station near us that way we could take a train and
go home. We of course accepted, and left him a bag of treats, a
contact card, and a letter saying thank you. When we got to the train
station we jumped off the bus and ran to the train. The only problem
was that to get to Yverdon we had to change trains so that meant
waiting for 20 mins in an unfamiliar area. When we got to that area we
went to wait for the train and when we did there were some gentleman
smoking something not good and listening to hard core rap. Basically,
we were in a place where the spirit couldn't be present. We also had
the possibility of being late. So we decided that the best thing to do
would be to go to another waiting area, pray, and then call the
district leader and tell him that we might be late. While we were
calling him those gentleman left and the spirit immediately returned.
All in all, we made it home, on time, and all was well, except for
being dropped of course haha.
Saturday:
Saturday was a slower day. We did weekly planning, we cleaned up a
little bit because someone was supposed to come and fix our leaking
fridge (they didn't come but the leaking stopped...) and we had to
clean the church (yes, the two of us.. It took us 2.5 hours). But! We
were blessed to have a RDV with our current engage Charlène. She is
AMAZING and really our only source of strength haha. We taught about
praying often and daily scripture study and keeping the sabbath day
holy. She said that she loved reading the scriptures daily because
they make her feel good. She also said that she is excited to start
doing family prayers with her husband so that they can start the
routine before they have children. She also thought that it was
important to keep the sabbath day holy so we can feel the spirit and
be rested for the next week. She also agreed to meet with us 3 times a
week so we can make sure she is prepared for her baptism on the 26th!
She is amazing and so excited to get baptized.
